President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Declares Assets With LACC

(Monrovia) – The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyumah Boakai on Thursday, publicly declared his assets at the office of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission in Congo Town.

The President was received by the Body of Commissioners headed by the Vice Executive Chairperson, Mr. Ernest Hughes.

In a very short ceremony, the Vice Executive Chairperson welcomed the President and informed him that all asset forms received are treated in the strictest confidentiality manner and the files are kept in fireproof filing cabinets and there is a very limited access to the files.

Mr. Hughes said that the Body of Commissioners looked forward to meeting with the President to present him the workplan of the LACC which includes prevention methods and the decentralization of the Commission.

In very brief remarks, President Boakai assured the Vice Executive Chairperson that he is on board in the fight against corruption and for Liberia to prosper and develop, it is important that everyone is involved in this fight.
