MONROVIA – Controversial Montserrado County District #10 Representative, Hon. Yekeh Y. Kolubah says the ruling Unity Party is entangled with high nepotism by top officials of government of the rescue mission.
Rep. Kolubah in an interview with journalists on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 on Capitol Hill said President Boakai and his lieutenants have become an embarrassment to the Liberian people from the way they are proceeding with appointments.
The tough-talking lawmaker alleged that several officials of the rescue mission have appointed immediate family members to various positions in government.
“Let me say this, if you have people recommending people for job, what can you get out of those people, nothing. I told you people these people are on family business,” said Rep. Kolubah.
The District #10 lawmaker went on to accuse Vice President Jeremiah Koung of using his influence to secure a job for a family member at the Ministry of Commerce.
Rep. Kolubah, however, promised to subsequently hold a press conference to clarify and prove his allegations right this week.
“I am having a press conference, and I will bring up the listing of all those people the President appointed and their connections with him,” Hon. Kolubah averred.
